Lawrence, The first day of school for students is September 2nd. There have been no department of health updates sent to schools, however today the state education department announced guidance will be coming to address questions around the wearing of masks, social distancing, remote learning, and transportation. Only students who read 15 minutes or more a day saw accelerated reading gains—that is, gains higher than the national average—and students who read just over a half-hour to an hour per day saw the greatest gains of all. SUMMER ENRICHMENT REGISTRATION Registration has been extended until July 5th at 12noon. Please check your email early morning, well before 8am, on July 6th if you intend to begin a session 1 class on July 6th at 8am. Credit-bearing classes are 12 days, from 8am to 12:30pm, Monday through Thursday. You must attend a minimum of 10 days to receive credit.
