Our first week of learning in 2022 was filled with so much activity! Students began the new year ready to learn!
*Students in Ms. McDonough's class reviewed their multiplication facts; some even challenged themselves with three-digit by one-digit multiplication!*
*Ms. Brown's students led our school in the Pledge of Allegiance during morning announcements this week! The Lucky Duck of the Day even got to be the flag holder---proudly leading our school!*
*Students in Ms. Feigeles' first grade class responded to a writing prompt in their Writer's Notebook about something they were afraid of. Students used sight words in their sentences and referred to the Word Wall to help them remember how to spell. Students included illustrations that corresponded with their sentences too!*
*Telling time is not only an important life skill, but it is also part of the second grade math curriculum! The students in Ms. Brites' class reinforced telling time to the hour by completing the activity above!*
*Students in Ms. Arleo's first grade class participated in literacy centers! Some students worked in a guided reading group, while other students read books independently from the classroom library.*
*Ms. Brites and her learners celebrated the season of winter by doing different snowman themed writing, math, and art activities!*
