LAWRENCE, NEW YORK (JUNE 2026)—Lawrence Primary School’s Reader’s Theater Club recently delighted audiences with an outstanding performance of their original play, The Gingerbread Surfer, showcasing the creativity, dedication, and teamwork of its young cast and director.
Under the guidance of Ms. Maraglio, students in the Reader’s Theater Club spent the year bringing the production to life from start to finish. Together, they wrote the script, composed the music, designed costumes, and rehearsed each scene in preparation for their big performance. Their hard work culminated in a wonderful presentation for Lawrence Primary School’s first-grade classes and family members, who enjoyed watching the students shine on stage.
Through expressive acting, lively music, and imaginative costumes, the cast proudly shared the story of The Gingerbread Surfer, captivating the audience and demonstrating all they had accomplished throughout the year. The performance reflected not only the students’ talent, but also their commitment, collaboration, and enthusiasm for the arts.
