The Lawrence Student Art Show, which kicked off on Wednesday, May 20, was a wonderful success as students, families, and community members came together to celebrate and view student artwork showcased from across the district.
The exhibit highlights the creativity, talent, and hard work of our student artists. Special recognition goes to Ms. Anne Young, LPS art teacher, who has worked throughout the year to inspire students and guide them in creating pieces they are truly proud of.
Students found inspiration in beloved books including Robot in Love, The Whatifs, How the Crayons Saved the Rainbow, Norman the Slug with the Silly Shell, Cat Problems, Love Monster and the Last Chocolate, and Bear’s Winter Party, using literature as a springboard for artistic expression and imaginative storytelling.
The school community is invited to continue enjoying the exhibit at Lawrence High School during the following viewing times:
Weekday viewing: May 21 through June 4 (Monday through Friday) from 8:00 AM–2:00 PM
Weekend viewing: May 30–31 from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM.
The final day to view the exhibit is June 4.
