Hello LPS Families! We are closing out March!!!
March was a busy and exciting month for our Lawrence Primary School learners! Students had a blast when Sam’s Weather School visited, teaching them all about tornadoes, lightning, wind, and more through engaging, hands-on activities. We also welcomed Sparky from the NY Islanders, who spoke to our students about the importance of N.E.T.—nutrition, exercise, and teamwork.
Our third graders enjoyed a beautiful trip to Planting Fields in Glen Cove, where they completed special missions to become junior rangers. Students also proudly participated in Culture Day, wearing garments that celebrate and represent their unique backgrounds.
In addition, our Family Basketball Night was a huge success! Students practiced drills, learned new skills, and had a great time showing off their teamwork. The evening ended with an exciting parents vs. teachers basketball game that brought lots of energy, laughter, and school spirit. It was truly a month full of learning, fun, and community!
