The spirit of gratitude and community was in full bloom at Lawrence Primary School last night as we gathered to celebrate our annual Family Thanksgiving Night. The school gymnasium was transformed into a festive, warm dining hall, kicking off the holiday season with a traditional Thanksgiving dinner and a joyful evening of games and music.
The evening served a purpose far greater than just a shared meal; it underscored the importance of giving back and gathering together. For many families, this event provided a meaningful opportunity to enjoy a holiday meal and connect with the school staff and other families in a relaxed, celebratory setting.
The event’s success was largely dependent on the incredible support received by our Lawrence Primary School PTA and community. Numerous local businesses provided generous donations of food, time, and resources, proving the deep community investment in Lawrence Primary's students. Following dinner, families enjoyed a variety of festive games, with students participating in 'pin the feather on the turkey' and BINGO.
The Family Thanksgiving Night successfully created a warm, inclusive start to the holiday season, reinforcing the vital message that when the community comes together, every family has a place at the table.
