This week, we hosted our annual Scholastic Book Fair. Students had the opportunity to shop and buy all different types of books- picture books, chapter books, fiction, and non-fiction. Thank you to our PTA for arranging another great book fair!
Chess Club has officially begun! Look at Ms. Twomey and Ms. Brites’ students learning all about Chess with Ms. Arleo!
Look at Ms. Novello’s class go! Students participated in an Apple Investigation. Each student had the opportunity to investigate their very own apple and afterwards, they got to eat it! Students also started diving into the human body. They took fun pictures, then had to label each body part.
Congratulations to our very own 3rd grade teacher, Ms. McDonough, on her reception of congressman Anthony D’Esposito’s Teachers Recognition Award. This week, Ms. McDonough was recognized at an award ceremony for all of her great work here at Lawrence Primary School.
On Friday, students attended a school-wide assembly based around a character named Ned. Through storytelling, puppets, and humor, and students learned how to spark courage, keep learning, and keep a positive mindset.
