GSA – Gay Straight Alliance – Advisors – Ms.Bocketti and Ms. Swain

The first meeting of the Gay Straight Alliance will take place today, October 13th immediately after school in Room 219. If you are interested in making our diverse school community a more welcoming and accepting place for all students, come join us Thursday! Come meet new people and make new friends.

Latin American Club – Advisor – Ms. Gomez

We are celebrating Hispanic heritage month until October 15. We celebrate the long and important presence of Hispanic Americans in the United States like Hilda Solis. She is an American politician and has served as the United States secretary of labor between 2009-2013. She is the first Hispanic woman to serve in the presidential cabinet. She was born in California to immigrant parents and has made tremendous gains in the areas of environment and paving the way for environmentally friendly jobs. 

Are you interested in joining the Latin American club? They will be meeting in Room 211 with Señorita Gomez today, Thursday October 13th at 2:45pm because of yesterday’s half day.

Good morning Lawrencians: It is time to hold elections for Freshman Class. Any freshman who would like to run for Freshman President, Vice President, Treasurer or Secretary should see Mr. Walker in room 331. You must sign your name on the board on the right side of the room. Elections will be held Thursday the 13th.

The Lawrence SGA will be hosting the first blue white and gold day on October 24 after school. Three teams will compete in competitive events for the ultimate prize. Senior News – Advisor – Ms. Bayeva

Senior Offices  will be selling long sleeve t shirts today and tomorrow starting 7:30 am through pd. 1 in the main lobby. throughout the day the t-shirts can be bought- in room 121. Supplies are  limited. Price:S-XL - $18, 2xl-3xl - $20. 
Donations accepted and will be transferred to the Breast Cancer foundation🎀!
Additionally, the officers will be selling the Breast cancer Awareness pins+donuts tomorrow before school and during pd. 1.   Proceeds will be donated towards a reputable cancer research foundation.

JV Girls Soccer – Advisor – Mr Supple

Well Lawrence family … another game another win for the jv girls soccer team! They played Malverne this past Friday and won 3-0 and yesterday played a stacked Roosevelt team that had 24 girls on their sideline and won 3-0. These are 13 girls that have no quit in them, battling through pain, breathing heavy and they just don’t stop competing! Only one word can sum it, warriors! The final game will be played Thursday at Sewannaka Good Luck ladies!

JV Girls Volleyball – Advisor – Ms. Dascher

Congrats to the girls JV volleyball team on moving to 11-0 on the season. In 2nd set Serving was lead by Heather Mchale who served 7 consecutive points to bring the team back from being 8 points down. In the 3rd set serving was lead by Rosie Monzon who had 9 consecutive points, 6 of them being aces! Hailey Brancaccio lead the team with 4 super spikes! Gina Pasquariello added 4 assists in the win. Birthday Shout out to Arbi Corbita !! The girls next game is tomorrow as they face Locust Valley!

Computer Art Club 

The Computer Art Club will meet today after school in the NEW MAC Lab room 233 - All LHS students are encouraged to join and come have some creative FUN!!!!
