LHS Color Guard – Advisor – Mr. Stabile
Do you like to perform or dance? Are you looking for a new way to show your Lawrence Pride? Maybe join your first club at LHS? The Color Guard is featured with the Band at the Fall Pep Rally, Homecoming and the Memorial Day Parades. We now have openings for all grade levels including 9th graders. First practice is next Monday Sept 12 at 7pm in the Cafeteria. No experience necessary.

Any students who needs a new ID should see Mr. Ballantyne in the art gallery across from the auditorium during periods 4, 5, and 6 this week. Students who do not have their IDs beginning next week are subject to detention.

Bring your car – big or small, to our world class hand-washing and detailing session this Sunday, Sept. 11, between 10:30 and 11:45 am at the Custodial/Science wing lot!
Our friendly Senior Class carwash specialists will deliver the top-of-the-line service and will work hard to make your car shiny (and happy!) for days. Nobody washes a car better than we do!
Cost: $10 (cash), donations are greatly appreciated. Come yourself, bring family members, neighbors and friends!

Honor’s String Ensemble – Advisor – Mr. Krahm
The first session of Honor's String Ensemble will be taking place THIS COMING MONDAY; September 12th. Rehearsal will take place in the Auditorium starting at 5 PM!!! Can't wait to see you all there!!
Students with Chromebook issues – Mr. Ballantyne
Mr. Wiebke will be in the old dance studio across from the auditorium every day this week during periods 4, 5, and 6 to help all students who need chrome book repairs. Students must bring their chrome book and charger with them to get a replacement. Stolen and Lost chargers will not be replaced by the school and students must purchase their own replacements if they lose their charger.

Next week on Thursday September 15th will be our FIRST meeting of the year! All membership is required to be in attendance! We will be discussing many things that will be happening this year! JV Girls Volleyball – Advisor Ms. Dascher
Congrats to the JV Girls Volleyball team on sweeping Malverne in 3 sets yesterday! Strong serving and an impressive defensive game gave Lawrence early leads in each game. Freshman Hailey Brancaccio led the tornadoes serving 12 consecutive points. Gina Pasquariello had four aces while Madelyn Ramos added two as well. Offensively, teammates Heather McHale and Kelley Orellana led the team in hits. The team played outstanding defense digging hits and passing serves. Come out Friday at 5pm to support the girls as they take on Hempstead.
