Senior News
Attention Seniors, permission slips and the $85 for Six Flags is due this Friday May 15 to Ms. L in Room 308. Also, any senior that is interested in running for Prom King or Queen needs to bring their completed Nomination Form to Ms. L by the end of the day on Thursday, May 14th. Any questions please ask Ms. L or your senior reps.
Girls Track
Girls track participated in a very competitive invitational last Friday where Katherine Navarro Solis threw Shot and disc and Jahla King took home the Bronze Medal for triple jump.
Key Club
Key Club is proud to present our final event of the year: Hearts for Hospice. We are collecting new, packaged, and gently used toys to support patients in hospice as well as underserved communities. For every donation, you will receive 1 hour of community service. Some teachers are also offering extra credit for students who participate, so be sure to check with your teachers. If you are donating for extra credit, please give your toys directly to your teacher. A donation box will be located in the lobby for all other contributions.
Multicultural Club
The Multicultural Club will not be meeting this Wednesday in room 222. We are planning our end of the year party, so ALL active and not so active members should come to next week’s meeting as we plan our end of the year celebration.
NYSESLAT Testing
Attention ENL students. If you missed any or all of your NYSESLAT English test, please report to the library this morning. If you are not sure, please check with your teacher in whatever class you are in this morning.
Poetry Contest
Congratulations to the winners of our 7th Annual Poetry Contest The student winners are as follows: Daniel Trought for his rendition of an "I have a dream" poem, 3rd place Jasmine Escobar- Milk of breath, 2nd place Justin Ingles Ramirez "Not Alone" and the first place winner is Cristel Soza Cruz poem "Ashes" Our second place faculty staff poem goes to Ms. Sornchai "Darkness" and first place goes to Dr. Yochai "The Dwindling Conversation" Congratulations and please come down to the main office to collect your prize. Look out for the poems to be displayed on the monitor by the main office soon. reminder: All students who participated are eligible for one hour community service to be entered into Passport for Good.
