Finite: Limited in number, quantity, or extent; not infinite. 

The school has a finite budget for field trips, so teachers must prioritize which ones to take. 

Extract: To remove, pull out, or obtain something from a larger source; to draw forth. 

 Students were asked to extract the main idea from the lengthy article they read for homework. 

MW: Cue: A thing said or done that serves as a signal to a performer to enter or begin their speech or performance. 

The actor missed his cue during the evening’s performance of the play. 

Juniors & Seniors

Attention Juniors and Seniors! On Wednesday, March 25th, during 3rd period in the LHS Cafeteria there will be a representative from Nassau BOCES discussing adult education trade school programs. All Juniors and Seniors interested in learning more about trade school programs are invited to attend. If you have a class during this time please ask your teacher for a pass to the cafeteria. Please email your school counselor with any questions.
