Wednesday ¾ Mitigate & Minimum
Mitigate: To make something less severe, serious, or harmful; to reduce the impact or intensity of a problem.
Schools can mitigate the effects of learning loss by offering summer programs and targeted interventions.
Minimum: The smallest amount, value, or degree possible; the lowest point or threshold.
The minimum score required to pass the exam is 70%, but students are encouraged to aim higher.
MW: Series: A number of things, events, or people of a similar kind or related nature coming one after another.
I just started reading a thrilling new series of books by my favorite author.

Attention all yearbook members- We will be meeting TODAY after school room 317. Your permission slips for our 'in-school' working session are due then. Please make every effort to be there. Seriously. Be there.
Guidance News
We are preparing to place our order for June 2026 diplomas, caps and gowns. Please fill out the form located in your English google classroom and write your name on this form as you want it to appear on your diploma. Only legal names can appear. Your first name, your middle name if you wish it to appear or the Initial if you only want the Initial or blank if you don't want it added. Your last name as it appears on your birth certificate. If two last names appear they both must be on the diploma. Please also include your height for the graduation gown order. Please complete this form by March 23, 2026.
GSA
The Nassau County Police Department's annual prom boutique will take place on Saturday, April 18th. This event provides high school seniors in need the opportunity to select and try on prom attire, including dresses, tuxedos, and accessories, completely free of charge. If you are interested in attending or would like more information, please see Ms. Vilardi in room 300.
Varsity Baseball
Attention Baseball players! There will be open gym today starting at 3:00
Hebrew Culture Club
The Hebrew Culture Club will meet Thursday after school in the art room. We will be working on a community art project; all are welcome and Nina from JSU will be there too!
Quiz Bowl
Quiz Bowl Practice will be held after school in Room 322. All are welcome.
SADD
There will be a SADD Club Meeting today after school in room 340. We will be discussing upcoming events. I hope to see you there.
Senior Class News
Senior Bowling Night is Thursday March 19 from 5:30-7:30 PM. Cost is $30 and is due with a signed permission slip on Friday March 13 to Ms. L in Room 308. Please see her or the senior reps for payment information.
Senior Starbucks is back with a new drink! The Sour Leprechaun will be sold for $3 during the lunch periods on Thursday.
