Tuesday 11/18: Code & Commit
Code: A system of words, letters, figures, or symbols used to represent others, especially for the purposes of secrecy.
The programmer wrote a complex code to solve the problem. Commit: To pledge or bind (a person or an organization) to a certain course or policy.
She decided to commit to a daily exercise routine.
MW: Rectitude: the quality or state of being correct in judgement or procedure.
The student has a sense of rectitude that keeps him from cheating on exams.
Key Club
The Key Club will be collecting Non-Perishable food items right up until November 24th. Please donate to help the Lawrence community during Thanksgiving. There will be a collection box set up in the main lobby. Students can receive community service for donations. Any questions please see Mr Ravo or Mr Ziff.
Winter Sports
Winter Sports start today! All athletes must be registered on Final Forms and have an updated physical in order to play. Girls Basketball & Wrestling start at 3pm. Boys Basketball starts at 5pm Indoor Track starts tomorrow at 3pm Check in with the Athletics Office if you have any questions.
Drama Club
(Drum roll please!!!!) The Drama Club invites you to “You’re Invited,” our showcase happening Thursday, November 20th at 7 PM in the auditorium! Step into the party, hustle, and bustle of New York City — with music, dancing, and big city energy lighting up the stage. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults, and will be on sale Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during lunch periods. Don’t miss the first show of the year everyone will be talking about! See you then!
AM/PM Weight Lifting
Attention All Football Players and Interested Students Weight training begins this week in our brand-new, state-of-the-art Lawrence High School Fitness Center. AM Workouts Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 7:00 AM sharp with Coach Verone PM Workouts Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 3:15 PM sharp with Coach Manara All football players and interested students: make it your business to find the time that works for you and dictate of your future.
Wrestling
There will be a Wrestling practice this afternoon. We will meet in the wrestling room at 2:45. Please continue to complete your Final forms so you are able to compete.
Pizza Tuesday
The PTA will be selling pizza today after school in the main lobby. $2.00 a slice, Cash only.
Guidance
A representative from Monroe University will be visiting our school on Wednesday, November 19 during period 6. Students who are interested in learning more about Monroe or thinking about applying are encouraged to attend. The college visit will be held in the library on the second floor.

ATTENTION ALL YEARBOOK MEMBERS!- This Thursday, November 20th, we will be having an important meeting after school. Please make every attempt to be there. Our deadline is quickly approaching and we need all hands on deck. See you Thursday in room 317.
