Asian American Club

There will be an Asian American Club meeting this afternoon directly after school. Come join us in room 319. All are welcome.

FHA

FHA is back! We are so excited to announce our first meeting will be taking place this Friday, October 3rd, in room 317 after school. We will be discussing everything you need to know about the club. We can't wait to see you all there!

Guidance News

A Representative from Hofstra University will be coming to visit Lawrence 5th period Monday, October 6th, 5th period in the library. Open to all seniors.

Latin American Club

There will be a Latin Club Meeting on Friday morning at 7:20 am in Room 301A. We will discuss our fall fundraising and community service project. The meeting will be repeated Monday 10/6 immediately after school in the cafeteria.

Senior Class

Good morning, Lawrence! Your senior class is ready for spooky season. Are you? Starting this Friday, you can Pick Your Poison during lunch. For only $3 you can sink your fangs into our specially brewed potions. They’re creepy and delicious. Try it if you dare muw-Haha.

Quiz Bowl

Quiz Bowl will be meeting today in room 322 at 2:40, Wednesday afternoon. Come on out and join us!

SADD

There will be a Sadd club meeting this Friday in room 340 at 2:45. We will be doing nominations for the board. Please do your best to attend. New members are always welcome!

Girls Tennis Team

The girls tennis teach ended the month with another match win, sweeping all played matches. Addison Watson took first singles 6-1,6-0; Tea Michel won at 2nd singles 6-1,6-0; Suri Velasquez rounded out the singles at 3rd with 6-4, 6-1 sets. Both doubles teams came from behind to seal the win, with team of Claudia Romero and Alisson Cortez winning 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 and the team of Rebeca Monroy and Kiara Sanchez winning 1-6, 6-4

Boys VolleyBall

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Volleyball team on their 3 game sweep of Bellmore Kennedy last Friday. Corey Shakur had 12 kills. Fernando Larios had 11 kills and 18 digs. Sehil Dhoundiyal also recorded 18 digs. Jacob Hooks had 26 assists.

Another congratulations to the boy’s volleyball team on their 3-1 win over Calhoun. Mailo Rozas had 35 assists, and Jacob Hooks added 15 assists. Corey Shakur had 14 kills and 9 digs. Elijah Tolley and Jacob Hooks each had 10 kills. Amit Horovitz added a much needed block for the win.
