Senior Class/Homecoming Club 

Attention Lawrence High School! 
 
Today, September 20th, our 2024 homecoming spirit week begins!  

Next week, we have Sun Day Monday (dress tropically with shorts, floral print, sunglasses, sun hats, pool floats, leis 
TV Tuesday, Seniors dress as characters from Cartoon Network, Juniors do Nickelodeon, Sophomores do Disney, and Freshmen do PBS Kids 
Wednesday is Dress to Impress Theme: Celebrity, dress as your favorite celebrity 
 
Thursday is School Cliques day: Seniors are jocks, Juniors are nerds, Sophomores are Bikers, and Freshmen are preps 
 
And Friday is Blue and Gold Day. Dress in blue and gold to show your lawrence pride. Fall athletes wear your jerseys.  
 
The flyer will be posted around the building, school website, and Google Classroom for each grade. For Seniors - the Instagram as well. 
We can’t wait to see everyone’s amazing outfits!!! 
 

DECA 

DECA will be meeting on Tuesday at 7:30 in room 216. If you cannot make the morning meeting, please join the google class for the 2:40 online meeting. You must look at the categories online and select areas of interest before the meeting to make your time more productive. Please reach out to Mr. Albin with any questions or concerns. 

Community Service Opportunity 

The Community Center is looking for 4 Bi Lingual student volunteers tomorrow with Rock & Wrap It Up. The event begins at 12:15 and will last approximately two hours. Please see Mrs. Stanley if you are interested.! 

Color Guard 

Homecoming is just a few days away, but it is not too late to join the parade.  
Stop by room 222 to sign up for Color Guard.  
Show your school spirit and earn community service hours.  

Boys Varsity Soccer 

The Boy's Varsity Soccer team earned a hard fought 3-1 Victory over a scrappy Wheatley team. Joseph Gonzalez, Yaxon Arriaga and Ben Perez each had a goal to keep Lawrence undefeated in league play. Lawrence is 4-0-1 and head into their first home game of the season on Monday 9/23 at 4:30 PM vs Valley Stream South. Please come out and support the boys! 
 

Guidance News 
Attention Seniors! The Lawrence High School Guidance Department will be hosting a college financial aid presentation. This event will be a virtual presentation which will also be livestreamed in the high school cafeteria. This event will take place on Thursday, September 26th at 6:30 PM. For those of you who cannot attend the livestream there will be a Google Meet link sent to your Lawrence student email account so that you may listen and watch the presentation from home. If you have any questions then you may stop by the Guidance Office. 

Latin American Club 

Do you want to learn more about the vibrant Latin American Culture or share your personal experience with the Latin American Culture? Please come to an informational meeting in Room 101 on Tuesday, September 24 at 2:35pm. We will discuss some exciting new activities planned for this year. ALL students are welcomed and encouraged to attend!
