Freshman News – Advisor – Ms. Kind
Do you love Lawrence? Would you like to make positive changes to the school or help raise funds for prom? Well it’s time to think about running for Freshman Class Office! The following positions are available.

Junior Class News – Advisor – Ms. Kind
The Junior Class Officers would like to present new Lawrence apparel for all grades to support breast cancer awareness. You can pick up an order form from Junior class Officers Daniela Andrade, Jose Garcia, Nader Daruvala or Max Bardales. Money and forms are due no later than Tuesday, October 8th.

The grand prize victory will see Lawrence Football grated $9000.00, in new equipment and David will be honored on the field at a New York Giant’s home game. You can vote until Sunday, October 13th at www.usafootball.com/hoagvote

Senior News
A representative from Western New England University will be in the Guidance Office Conference Room today, October, 7th during Period 5, to discuss admission process and scholarship opportunities. If you are interested in attending, you will need to sign up in the guidance office prior to the meeting. If you have a class during that time, you will need to have your teacher sign
A representative from Long Island Post will be in the Guidance Office Conference Room on Thursday, October 10th, 5th period to discuss admission process and scholarship opportunities. If you are interested in attending, you will need to sign up in the guidance office prior to the meeting. If you have a class during that time, you will need to have your teacher sign a permission slip which you can also obtain from the guidance office.

Talent Show Information – Advisor- Ms. Kind
Attention all LHS Students! If you have talent and would like to have a chance to perform on stage, save this date: Friday, October 25th, directly after school! Auditions will be held for the Annual Talent Show (sponsored by the Junior class). Sign up outside room 125 or see a junior class officer or Ms. Kind. Come prepared with the material and act you wish to perform.

All TRI-M members must attend this meeting. Anyone interested in running for office must turn in a recommendation form to their director by 2:00 pm today!
Boys Volleyball – Advisor – Mr. Klein
Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Volleyball Team on their 3-0 win over Manhasset. The team was led by setter Thomas Rincon, with 3 assists. Davidson Claros had 11 kills and 5 aces. Devon Rampersaud, Junior Salomon, Terrel Adderly, Oscar Guevarra each recorded 6 kills. Outstanding defense was added by Don Smalls III, Matt Guevarra and Dillian Gutierrez.
