Boys Varsity Soccer
A great win by the Boys Varsity Soccer team, beating Hewlett 2-0. Goals by Joseph Gonzalez and Luis Manrique paved the way to victory with assists from Johnny Valiente and Troy Batac. Gabriel Rosales completed the shutout making 9 saves, with great defending by Emerson Mijango, Benjamin Perez and Yaxon Arriaga.
LATIN AMERICAN CLUB – Advisor – Ms. Gomez
The Latin America is honoring the National Hispanic Heritage Month celebrated from September 15 to October 15 in the United States for recognizing the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture, and achievements for the United States. This week we will mention Latin artists that have made an impact with their music all around the world:
Shakira - Colombian artist was the first South American to take a song to number one in the ranking of the billboard hot 100 awards, and win a Grammy in the same year, and not only that debuted in the World Cup with the song Waka Waka in the 2010.
