Lawrence High School
Announcements for Friday, April 5, 2019
Day 4
April is Autism Awareness Month – a time where we recognize individual differences in others and move towards inclusion, acceptance and appreciation of all people. It is a time to be aware, as well as to take action. It is a time to acknowledge uniqueness and celebrate the accomplishments of others.
On Monday, April 8th, during lunch periods 4, 5, and 6, students from Ms Eskin’s Art classes along with the Life Skills students invite you to print your own unique piece for our puzzle mural that we will hang in the main hallway of the high school. Please show your support by stopping at a table in the cafeteria and spending a few minutes printing your own piece so we can fit together our puzzle piece mural. You may even have the opportunity to make a new friend while doing so. Tables will be set up right against the back wall of the cafeteria. There is no cost for participation in this activity.
Additionally, please help us shine a light on Autism Awareness and “Light It up Blue” by wearing a blue shirt to school on Monday, April 8th. Thank you.
