Listen up Junior's If you missed your chance to get your junior apparel forms in, don't worry. Now is your chance to submit a form to your class officers or Mis. Vicari in room 222. The deadline is this Thursday, December 8th. Hurry up and get your form in! Hey Lawrence come join the Juniors as they host the annual "Lawrence Got Talent Show". All grades are welcome to audition this Thursday, December 8th at 3 in room 222. We want to see your talent, so don't be shy, come give it a try!

Music Department – Advisor – Mr. Stabile

This weekend Stephanie Lopez, Emma Urgen and Matt Sharon represented Lawrence at the NYSSMA All State Conference in Rochester, NY. They performed professional level music at the Eastman School of Music Theatre as part of the BEST high school musicians in New York State. They worked with nationally recognized university professors for four days. The performances were truly SPECTACULAR and EXTRAORDINARY. Stephanie was chosen as a vocal soloist and performed a STUNNINGLY beautiful solo. In April, these three will perform at the All-Eastern Festival with the other top musicians in the northeast from Maine to Washington D.C. We are all so proud of the AMAZING accomplishments of Emma, Matt and Stephanie! 

Honors String Ensemble – Advisor Mr. Krahm

Rehearsal will be today starting PROMPTLY at 3 PM. This is the final rehearsal before our dress rehearsal! Everyone needs to be there on time! See you there! 

Science Research – Advisor – Ms. Isseroff 

Congratulations to Lawrence High School Senior Matthew Sharin on being awarded the “Best Post in Session” at the Materials Research Society Fall Meeting at the Hynes convention Center in Boston, Massachusetts.  The Materials Research Society is a professional society whose more than 12, 000 members come from industry, academia and national labs, and their work touches on many fields, including chemistry, biology, physics and engineering.  Matthew conducted research on titanium dioxide nanoparticles, which are added to toothpaste, food products, and sunscreen lotion.  He found that they may interfere with the structure of human skin, and was awarded the top poster from ore than 100 other research posters in his session.  Way to go, Matthew!
