GSA Club – Advisor – Ms Bocketti and Ms. Swain
This Sunday, November 20th will be the transgender day of Remembrance and Resilience. This day was first held in 1999 to honor Rita Hesterin who was brutally murdered in 1998 for just daring to be herself - a transgender woman. Since 1999 this day is celebrated each year to memorialize trans people across the world who were killed due to anti-trans violence. It is also a day to honor the resilience of those in the fight for trans liberation and equality. If you are interested in being a part of this LGBTQIA+ movement for acceptance and equality for all - whether you are a member of the community or a friend or ally ---- come join us at the GSA club. WE meet every thursday after school in room 219
