Boys Varsity Basketball – Advisor – Mr. Klein

Attention Boys Basketball players: there will be a meeting on Thursday, November 3rd in the gym for anyone interested in trying for Varsity or JV Basketball. If you are thinking about playing basketball please attend this meeting. See you there!
Boys Varsity Volleyball – Advisor – Mr. Supple

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Volleyball team on their 3-0 sweep of Bethpage Monday evening. Dexter Robinson led the team with 15 kills and Marquez Martin added 10 kills. Elie Libkind had 26 assists to lead the team. A solid game was played by Angel Bran, Derrick Reyes, Chris Cornejo and Ryan Vairo. Amari Elliott and Ryan Dorestal had solid games at the net. Freshmen Fernando Larios and Sehil Dhoundiyal played solid back row defense. The Boys have now qualified for the Nassau County Playoffs for THE NINTH YEAR in a row.

African American Club will be meeting today after school from 2:35 to 4:00 for pep rally rehearsals. We will be meeting in the new dance room please be on time.

Guidance News

The High School will be taking a group of 12th graders (and 11th gr ENL students) to the Hispanic College Fair being held at Molloy College on Friday, Oct 28th.
Students will report to school as always and we will leave the school at 10 AM.  We will be back prior to the end of the school day.  Buses will be provided at no charge to us.  More details to follow as we approach the date.

National Honor Society – Advisor – Mr. Callahan

Today, The National Honor Society will be hosting the Safe Trick or Treat Halloween event tomorrow, October 27th from 5-7pm. Bring your younger family and friends to participate in this great event. There will be Halloween themed activities and trick or treating throughout the classroom for the young trick-or-treater's to partake in. Admission is $5 per family! Nut Free Candy and/or decoration donations for the event can be dropped off to Mr. Callahan’s room in Room 231. Hope to see you all at this Spooktacular event!
