Guidance News
The High School will be taking a group of 12th graders (and 11th gr ENL students) to the Hispanic College Fair being held at Molloy College on Friday, Oct 28th.
Students will report to school as always and we will leave the school at 10 AM.  We will be back prior to the end of the school day.  Buses will be provided at no charge to us.  More details to follow as we approach the date.

GSA Club – Advisors – Ms. Bocketti and Ms. Swain

We have a new club at Lawrence High School! What is the GSA Club? GSA stands for the Gender and Sexuality Alliance, or Formerly known as the Gay Straight Alliance. This is a popular club in high schools and middle schools across the country where LGBTQIA students, their friends, and allies come to create a fun, safe place to express themselves and their ideas. We work to make our school a safe, accepting and welcoming place for ALL students. WE meet today and every thursday in room 219 right after school. Come join us this thursday and find out what it’s all about!

Senior class students were sent a google form to fill out to sign up for the visits, they can also come down to the guidance department to pick up a pass if the visit interferes with their class schedule.

Get your BOO Bags for a Buck from Students Against Destructive Decisions. Halloween treats and a special message are available for sale for only $1. See Ms. Confino in room 308 or a SADD member. You can purchase one, or several, for yourself or send one, or several, to a friend or staff member to be delivered on Monday, October 31st. Happy Halloween!

Cheerleading News

The Lawrence Cheerleading team will be hosting a raffle entry for a special candy basket.
Tickets will be sold for $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00.  There will be 3 lucky winners. You can get a free lollipop with the purchase or a ticket.  The 3 lucky winners will be announced during pep rally. Last day to purchase will be next week. Wednesday, October 26th.

Girls who Code – Advisor – Ms. Squicciarini

If you enjoy playing games, grab a friend and come join the "The Girls Who Code" club. will meet today in room 103. All genders are welcome!

National Honor Society – Advisor – Mr. Callahan

The National Honor Society will be hosting the Safe Trick or Treat Halloween event on Thursday October 27th from 5-7pm. Bring your younger family and friends to participate in this great event. There will be Halloween themed activities and trick or treating throughout the classroom for the young trick-or-treater's to partake in. Admission is $5 per family! Nut Free Candy and/or decoration donations for the event can be dropped off to Mr. Callahan’s room in Room 231. Hope to see you all at this Spooktacular event!

 Lawrence Apparel sweaters have been ordered and will be picked up on Tue-Wed.  Please stand by for the delivery day/time. The amount of the donation to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a Breast Cancer organization, will be announced shortly.

The Senior Class Officers are cordially inviting you to become a part of the Fall Fundraiser AFTER the Homecoming Football game!  
Knowing that you will want to replenish your energy with real food after cheering for the team and ALL involved, we were very excited to organize this Fundraiser!
Any of your orders placed between 4 and 8 pm on Saturday, Oct. 29 at our local Chipotle (in person or online, using code  NPCE6XW , NO deliveries!), or notifying the cashier before paying, will qualify for this fundraiser.

The Senior Class'23 THANKS you in advance!  The Class will receive a check of the proceeds (30%).  To qualify, we need to bring more than $150, and the money will be used to reduce the cost of the Senior Prom'23.   The follow-up email will be sent out to you later to announce the amount of profit.
