African American Club – Advisor – Mr. Avalos

Good morning. Please save the date. The African-American Club, Mr. Avalos and Ms. Cammarata would like to invite you to participate in the Global Walk for Harriet Tubman on Thursday, March 10th after school on the track. It is her 200th birthday. Please listen for details on how to participate the week we come back. Have a wonderful vacation.
Today's black figure of the day is Michael Jackson! Michael Jackson was an American singer, songwriter and dancer. Dubbed the "King of Pop", he is regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century.As a child, Jackson became the lead singer of his family's popular Motown group, the Jackson 5. He went on to a solo career of astonishing worldwide success. Michael Jackson is undoubtedly the world's biggest global & most famous person of all time. Sadly, Michael died June 25th, 2009. His funeral is the most-watched funeral ever. Michael Jackson is someone who’s talents will never be forgotten. Listen out today as we play some of hit songs throughout the day!
Battle of the Classes – Advisor – Mr. Walker
Get ready for Battle of the Classes SPIRIT WEEK right when we come back to school from February 28th - March 4th. Starting off with Throwback day, then TV Day where your class officers picked gossip girl for the freshmen, squid games for the sophomores, jersey shore for the Juniors, and the office for the seniors. After that Wednesday is old people day. Thursday is the day of battle of the classes so everyone wear your shirt. Friday is pajama day. Remember you don’t want to miss out on a great opportunity to make memories because you never know what the future holds.

Sports Night – Advisor – Mr. Walker
“Battle of the classes is back! If you want to step up and represent your grade and fill out the form on google classroom. Individual grade codes can be found on the flyers in the main staircases and by room 331. The date and time for BOTC is Thursday, March 3rd at 5 pm. The price of the shirts will be $15 dollars which also includes a slice of pizza before BOTC so you’ll be nice and full. Payments can be handed in cash or if you wish to do an online payment please speak to Ayessa Batac the SGA Treasurer. Classes will compete in events such as Volley Ball, Pinball, Basketball, Fireman Relay, Tug o War, and more! Check out our Instagram at sgalawrence for more info!
