Academy Life Skills Career Class – Advisor – Mr. Brown
The Academy/Life Skills Career Class Students will be hosting a Valentine’s Day Sale this Friday February 11th, and on Monday February 14th, 2022, in the front lobby during 3rd and 6th period on both days. The Students will be selling 8 inch glass jar candles with Hershey’s kisses candy. The cost will be $5.00 dollars for the candle/candy combination. Come on out this Friday, as well as on Monday the 14th, and get the perfect gift for your loved one.
African American Club – Advisor – Mr. Avalos
Day 6 of Black Americans you don't know, but should: Valarie Thomas. Valerie L. Thomas is an American scientist and inventor. She invented the illusion transmitter, for which she received a patent in 1980 and she was responsible for developing the digital media formats image processing systems also known as 3D movies. Her inventions were used in the early years of the Landsat program. Valarie is also a NASA physicist. While speaking on Valarie Thomas I can't forget to say Happy Birthday to her! Today Valarie turns 79 years old ! Lets celebrate her by educating loved ones on her impact and lets celebrate her not just on her birthday, but everyday!

Lunar New Year is February 1st, but we are extending our Luna'Gram sales until February 14th! Purchase Fortune and Flavor for your friends, teachers and administrators. 1 - Lunar'Gram for $2 or 2 - Lunar'Grams for $3. Purchase in the main hall or in room 308.
Battle of the Classes – Advisor – Mr. Walker
Battle of the classes is back! If you want to step up and represent your grade in battle of the classes come to room 331 to order your shirt. All orders must be on the google classroom. Classes will compete in soccer basketball Pin ball Tug of war and relay races. Step up and represent your grade!
Buskins – Advisor – Ms. Sales
Do you like to perform? Have you ever thought about becoming something or someone else? Or are you curious about acting? Well, now is your opportunity to take action! The Lawrence Buskins theatre is holding and informational for our upcoming production of SHAKE IT UP: a theatrical presentation featuring the works of William Shakespeare. Now, you may be saying well, I want to act, but I have no experience… Guess what, no problem! We all have to start somewhere. Here is your chance to learn, shine, connect and just have fun being and playing someone else. IF you are interested, please COME to our SHAKE IT UP INFORMATIONAL on WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 16th from 2:50 to 3:50. NO experience necessary— just a desire to want to act and perform. Seniors, Join your classmates for fun, laughter, and wonderful memories you will cherish forever of your Senior Class Ice Skating trip! It does not matter if you have never skated before!!! Winter Olympics USA Team, watch out, here comes Lawrence!!! Come and skate together with a dynamic duo - Mr. Walker and Ms. Bayeva!
It will take place this Friday, February 11th, from 8:30-10:30 pm at Newbridge Arena in Bellmore.
Price: $10 Skates included. (Pay on the spot to Ms. Bayeva, sign up form is on the Senior Class Google page.)
