African American Club – Advisor-Ms. Torres
The African American club will meet this week on Thursday, at 2:45 pm, in room 224. All members must attend. See you there!
Lawrence Baseball rolls to its 3rd straight victory beating West Hempstead 15-5 in League Place. James Kelly hit a Grand Slam in the bottom of the 2nd, capping off an 11 run second inning. He was also the winning Pitcher with Harrison Kim picking up the save. Lawrence has outscored their opponents, 43-15 in the last 4 games and improves to 3 -1.
Badminton – Advisor – Mr. Leary
The Badminton Team played a great match yesterday defeating Clarke High School 5-2. Anoushka Guha and Catherine Valenzuela won their singles matches. The teams of Marielle Cardenas and Tatiana Lira, Genesis Contreras and Coandrea Stear and Jenn Martinez and Brittany Bugtai won their doubles matches.
On Wednesday, April 10th, from 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm, Hofstra University will be hosting a College Expo. Over 300 representatives from colleges, trade schools and military will be on hand. Please see your Guidance Counselor for more information.
The Inwood Civic Memorial Scholarship and the Love Linda Scholarship applications are both available in the Guidance Office.
Central Council PTA Scholarship applications are now available in the Guidance Office
A Representative from Herff Jones will be here to take the orders for the caps and gowns on Tuesday, April 16th, 2019, during lunch periods.
Key Club- Advisor – Mr. Mayo
Key Club will be sponsoring Fundraiser in April. Our first Annual Teacher vs. Student Hot dog eating contest. See Mr. Mayo or any Key Club Officer to apply for the contest.
There will be a registration fee of $5.00, per contestant.
Latin American Club – Advisors – Ms. Torres and Mr. Avalos
The Latin American Club will have a meeting today, April 10th, at 2:45 pm in room 224. Hope to see you there!
S.A.D.D. –Advisor – Ms. Cammarata
S.A.D.D. would like to ask for everyone’s support this Friday. We are asking for a dollar donation and we will be giving green semi-colon Tattoos. We will be in the main lobby before school and in the cafeteria during periods 5 and 6. You can also see Ms. Cammarata in room 319.

Cost is $75.00. This will include meal voucher, transportation and a gift.

All TRI-M officers, students being induced into TRI-M and soloists performing in next Tuesday’s induction ceremony, must attend next Monday’s meeting and run through.
