Students in the virtual enterprise class, Tornado Fit, operate a virtual business that sells fitness videos that can be streamed to a mobile device, laptop or smart tv.  On Friday, January 13, 2017 this year’s class earned 2nd place (out of 35 firms) in the category of total retail sales with $328,500 at the annual Long Island Virtual Enterprise Business Competition and Trade Show held at Farmingdale State College.  This is the third year in a row that Lawrence High School has finished in the top three in this category.  Students participate in daily operations that include: accounting, human resources, information technology, management, marketing, online marketing, research and development and sales.
